A New School

For those of you that don't know, Andee and Isaac transferred to a new school this past week. We have been on the waiting list at St Francis Catholic School here in Sherwood for about a year now and a few weeks ago they called us and told us a spot had opened up for our kids.. So, we met with the principal, toured the school again, met the teachers and decided that the time was right to make the move.

It's only day 3, but so far the kids love it! They wear uniforms (which mom loves) and today was their first day in Mass, but overall they are adjusting just great.

Congratulations Andee and Isaac on your new school! I pray for many blessings for you in your new school :-)
My daughters (Emily, Blair & Kelly) attended Holy Family Catholic School in Kirkland, Washington and the twins (Blair and Kelly) just last June graduated from Gonzaga University.
From one Mom to another, those uniforms are great! Uniforms seemed to take a dimension out of the challenges that my good friends & their daughters were having at the same time in public school. Does St Francis Catholic School have a minimum parent involvement/volunteer requirement? HFK does and it was not a chore to meet or exceed those requirements. I was most happy to be involved with; School Board, yearly fundraiser auction committees, auction co-chairperson one year and other various little things I could help with :-) My daughters and I have many fond memories. Even my mom choose to volunteer as the assistant to HFK’s accountant & principle. Many lasting long time friendships were made by all of us. In my experience, the parochial school route was a wonderful, positive venue for my daughters and extended family as well. Congratulations to all of you!
Hugs,
Jules
